"If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants."
        -- Sir Isaac Newton

I am deeply indebted to my first yoga teacher Francois Raoult who started me on the correct path of Yoga and taught me the fundamental postures.   His knowledge of yoga is as deep as it is broad.   I also owe a large debt to my teachers in the Atlanta area, Kathleen Pringle, Steve Jacobson, Alyson Ross, and Kquvien DeWeese.   Through their constant corrections I have come to feel less ridiculous in some of the asanas.   I have also had the opportunity to attend numerous workshops with distinguished teachers in the Iyengar tradition.

Special thanks to Kim Amlong for generously sharing with me her copious teacher training notes.

Though I have known many yoga teachers, all of them good, some of them excellent, Patricia Walden has spoken to me most clearly and compassionately.   May she continue to shine the light of her knowledge and tapas like a beacon for Western sadhakas for many years to come.   I dedicate any merit that may come from this website to Patricia and to the many sentient beings throughout the world who seek to know the truth and seek an end to their life's suffering.
